 Things are always more fulfilling and life easier if rather than focusing solely on 'what' you are doing, you know 'why' you are doing it.
Because at the end of the day, there will always be other better prospects in front of you. You will always be working way beneath your full potential. People will always be suggesting other options in every aspect. Others will always be questioning your life choices. Even after making all the lofty life choices, and exhausting one's complete potential, there will always be something amiss. Because that is the basic human condition. It is, therefore, important that every once in a while we stop ourselves in the tracks and ask ourselves "What is the point?

They will understand where you are coming from. Not only will they be honest to you but also make you feel safe enough to open up to them.
